The World
Watercolor, Colored Pencils, Digital
This piece is a depiction of Yggdrasil, the world tree from Norse mythology, the connecting between the 9 worlds. The three roots stemming from different sources of water, and in one lies Nidhogg, the dragon that gnaws at the roots of the tree, eating it from one end as an eagle destroys the tree from the top. The squirrel Ratatoskr travels from the top to bottom spreading insults between the two that were never really said.
The world symbolizes travel and taking shortcuts that maybe you should take as they could cause delays. The world is at your feet and new opportunities are opening up for you, but pick a path carefully because some can lead you to Asgard and others can lead you to the Norse underworld.
Judgement
Watercolor, Digital
The Judgement card represents making choices that often have drastic changes. For this card, I depicted the crossroads and the feast of Hekate. Hekate is the Greek goddess of crossroads, unrestful spirits, and witchcraft. She rules over crossroads and decision making. This card is a sign to take the leap when it comes, but take it with caution. You will face many obstacles and you don’t want to end up back from where you came.

The Star
Digital Painting
Pandora’s box unleashed evil spirits into the world, but the last one of Hope can only be given up willingly. Hope must have permission to leave. The Star represents Hope, and continues on through trials, because we cannot give up Hope. Otherwise everything loses its light.
Justice
Acrylic paint, Sharpie, Digital
This piece represents the card Justice in the major arcana. You must weigh your decisions and choose an outcome, the card encourages you to learn all the information necessary and use it to make your decision. Take your time, consider outcomes, and make the choice when your ready. I chose to use the weighing of the feather of truth against the heart of the dead from Egyptian mythology.

The Empress
Digital
The Empress represents growth and fertility. I depicted Persephone goddess of spring and growth in this piece. The flowers surrounding her being those of the nymphs before she was taken to the underworld.
This card represents a need for growth, take time to let yourself live in the moment and allow you experiences to shape you.
The Hermit
Watercolor, Alcohol markers, Digital
The hermit is about solitude and gained wisdom from it. Depicting a Windigo is a caution regarding too much solitude as they were caused by extreme isolation of oneself. Solitude is needed for oneself to become an individual, but to allow yourself to be so removed from society for extended periods, it weighs on the soul and allows for the Windigo to be born.
